Stephen Markarian has been a voice and theater educator for the past decade. Stephen and his wife, Laura, are the current theater directors at Milton High School.  Alongside Laura, Stephen has directed and music directed numerous children and teen shows including Into the Woods, Legally Blonde, Oklahoma! and Once Upon a Mattress. Stephen graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a BFA in musical theater, with an emphasis in acting and repertoire. Stephen has also starred on television as a recurring role in Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, as a guest star on Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh and on CBS’s Listen Up! starring Jason Alexander. Stephen has performed in numerous productions regionally at Speakeasy Stage Company, The Greater Boston Stage Company, Wheelock Family Theatre, Celebration Theatre and Sierra Repertory Theatre. He has starred in the national tour of Theatreworks USA’s Bunnicula: The Musical and toured over 30 cities in Japan as a principal vocalist with The Orchestra Japan’s Disney On Classic symphonic concert.
