Laura Markarian (she/her/hers)

Laura Markarian has been a dance and theater educator for the past decade. Laura and her husband, Stephen, are the current theater directors at Milton High School. Alongside Stephen, Laura has directed and choreographed many youth productions in the Boston area, including Beauty and the Beast, Bright Star, Rock of Ages, Urinetown, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Laura graduated with a BFA in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory with an emphasis in dance, acting, and repertoire and trained in ballet, tap, modern and jazz at Northeast School of Ballet,  Joffrey School of Ballet, and North Carolina Dance Theater.  In addition to her work as an educator, Laura is a member of the professional actors’ union. She has performed in professional regional productions across the northeast, including as a soloist with the Boston Pops in their Gershwin Spectacular at Symphony Hall.
