Into the Woods, the show that started Boxcar
Why Boxcar?

Four best friends, one empty boxcar, endless possibility.

In 2020, with live theatre on hold, we came home to Boston and put up a masked, socially distanced Into the Woods with a group of teens. It never played to an audience, but it reminded all of us what theatre can do for young people.

Our name comes from The Boxcar Children, where four siblings turn an abandoned boxcar into a home. To us, a blank stage works the same way: an empty space that becomes a place for stories and connection.
